Must Watch: George Brannigan Just Dropped One Of The Best Downhill Edits Of The Past Few Years

No slow-motion, no scene setting, just big whips, bigger backflips and gargantuan gaps...

Before you watch this video, you should know that it’s probably not safe for work. Not unless you want your boss to see you fall off your chair that is.

This is George Brannigan riding in Queensland, New Zealand, and there’s no question about it, this is downhill mountain biking at its absolute best.

This is downhill mountain biking at its absolute best…

There’s no messing around here from George. No shots of him pulling up his socks at the start of the day or staring longingly into the horizon. There’s not even a slow motion shot in the entire edit. It’s just hammer after hammer. Giant whip after giant whip. Huge backflips on a huge downhill bike.

Long story short – it’s absolutely wonderful. There are more giant gaps in this video than there are in your dogs defence for having not peed your bed.

To put the trails that Brannigan just destroyed into perspective , it’s worth noting that the gap featured 11 seconds in is the same gap Stevie Smith crushed his ankle taking on last year. George certainly did not have similar problems.

If Brannigan brings the ferocity of his riding to the World Cup in Lourdes next month, it’ll be no big surprise to see him finish well. We’re not sure this guy has even heard the word ‘breaks’…
