There are some mountain bike edits that you can show to the average human being – by which we mean an unenlightened soul yet to discover the wonders of two-wheels and a strip of dirt – and immediately make them pine for the saddle.
These come along relatively rarely, but when they do, they often make oblivious humans sit up and start shaking, raise their hands to the air and shout ‘praise the lord, for I have seen the light!’.
The human in question then immediately, and without any logical explanation, starts using words like ‘pinned’, ‘dialled’ and ‘tranny’ in completely different contexts, despite the fact that they’ve never actually heard the terms used that way before.
Next? They unconsciously start reaching for their credit card and typing the words ‘everything I need to start getting rad’ into Google.
This awesome edit from Lee Huskinson, Gaetan Rey and Vicent “Vinny T" Tupin is one of the wonders that ticks all of the boxes in the categories above. There’s no slow-mo, no douchy soundtrack, no fifteen minutes of driving or loading up cars, and most importantly, no holding back on the trails.
The video comes from SCOTT Sports and it was filmed in Morzine and Dorennaz. Some of the riding style in it will leaving you dreaming sweetly for the next four months. So sit back, get everyone within a 50m radius of you to crowd around your laptop, and have a watch of this footage - it's both a beauty and a beast.
