Mac Book Pro's are the laptop du jour of the millennial hipster elite. High powered, fast running, designed for the creative industries and, most importantly, breathtakingly expensive, these shiny, aluminium slabs of joy are essential pieces of kit for any self respecting inner-city lumberjack who's busy writing their oh-so clever screenplay in an independent coffee shop where a cup of hot joe costs more than a year at University.

But, since the dawn of time, mankind has pondered but one question: can a Mac Book Pro be used as a skateboard? Handily, the guys at Braille Skateboarding have fallen on their sword in a bid to finally put the issue to bed.

The got their hands on a fully functional Mac Book Pro (albeit one with a shonky battery that requires the machine to be hooked up to the mains at all times), bolted some trucks to the bottom, and took it out for a skate.

It transpires, that pop shuvit variations and limited grinds are just about all the Mac Board is up to. The moral of the story? Maybe stick to the seven ply, as opposed to the four gig.

Of course, the cynical among you, of which we're happy to say includes us at Mpora, may suggest that the laptop featured, and ultimately, destroyed in this video would have been better used being given to a kid to do their homework on, or something equally as worthy. Furthermore, wilfully destroying a piece of technology that, when new, costs somewhere upward of £1500 is somewhat vulgar when there are people eating out of bins.

However, it should be pointed out that the Mac Book used is second hand, obtained by the guys via US listings website CraigsList, and they do appear to feel genuinely guilty and remorseful, or at the very least self-aware enough to realise that what they're doing is somewhat wasteful and a bit wanky. As such, your inner-Geldof can rest somewhat easier.
