The Selfridges Skatepark is Nearly Here

Daryl Dominguez skates the capital in this second teaser.

British department store, Selfridges, is dipping it’s toe into the world of skateboarding big time this spring, going to far as to build a huge indoor skatepark taking up the entire ground floor of the historic Selfridges hotel..

It’ll be free to use for the capital’s skaters for it’s month long residence and has been put together with the help of HTC. The park will cover 1,700m2 and be open 7 days a week for use. Selfridges have joined up with several designers in order to launch new fashion lines informed by the world of skateboarding.

The park’s design will be inspired by fashion and London’s famous skate spots, melding South Bank’s undercroft to features based around baseball caps. The park will open on 27th March for a month. Check out the first teaser here.
