The world hasn’t been short of critics waiting to bash the latest Tony Hawks Pro Skater game. From the moment it was announced, growing corners of the internet were queuing up to have a pop at the, as then, unreleased game.

Maybe this nerdy vitriol is fuelled by the act that the the THPS franchise – the 4th biggest selling games series in history – is loved by so many people, so expectations are incredibly high.

But, now the game is released, what do people think? Well, the good people who enjoy nothing more than playing video games and then complaining about them have pointed out that THPS5 is maybe the glitchiest game in creation.

Videos show, even after a download was made available to fix bugs with gameplay on the day of release, there are still a lot of problems.

Glitches are imperfections in the code and the wire-frame mechanics that build the virtual world in which your character skates, seem full of holes. The result is seeing your skater readily disappearing through apparent worm-holes in the floor and walls. Far from ideal.

While we’re sure the people who make the game are doing all they can to make it as perfect as possible, and fix all problems, this is surely embarrassing for everybody involved.
