Forget Heliskiing, These Guys Have Just Invented Hot Air Balloon Skiing
These skiers have just found a much more interesting way to hit the top of mountains...
Some people will go to extreme lengths to reach fresh powder - whether it's using a helicopter to reach an untouched peak or hiking miles into the wilderness to find fresh lines.
However, these German skiers took it one step further. Introducing Balloon Skiing - yep, that's getting a hot air balloon to drop you on top of a mountain before riding down.
It's part of a new ski film called Heimschnee.
Fronted by backcountry skiier Stephan Keck, the team rappelled off the side of the hot air balloon, touching down on the peak of a remote mountain top.
It might seem like an extreme way to find untouched powder - but it's way more eco-friendly than using a gas guzzling helicopter.
Who knows? It might catch on...
