One of the longest-standing records in snowboarding was broken this weekend as Frenchman Edmond Plawczyk absolutely sent it to reach an insane 203km/h on his snowboard.
The attempt took place in the French resort of Vars, and as Plawczyk says in the video, he was lucky to get the weather for it.
"It was only my fifth run of the year"
"Yesterday we waited at the top for two hours," he told the cameras, "but the wind was too high and we thought we'd lost the chance.
"Having the weather window today looked unlikely, but then all of a sudden it was there and I did it."
"It was only my fifth run of the year, and to get a world record on my fifth run of the year, it's pretty cool!"
While the crazy winged catsuit and odd-looking helmet combo might put a few people off (it's not exactly snowboarding as most of us know it) but that doesn't take away from the fact that getting over 120 miles per hour on a snowboard is damn impressive.
