Here at the Mpora headquarters, we're more than happy to fight for your right to party. In fact, we pride ourselves on this. P-A-R-T-Y. It spells fun. And, without wanting to get all soppy on you, we want you to have fun.
Enter stage left: Snowboxx 2016. Snowboxx is, in a nutshell, one of the most awesome winter festivals on the planet. It consists of one whole week of huge main stage shows, some of the maddest après in the alps, and unique stage locations that make your hometown's bandstand look exactly like what it is...a hometown bandstand.
If that doesn't already have you seriously stoked, hitting up Snowboxx also gives you the chance to ski in one of the finest resorts in Europe (Avoriaz). This insanely popular festival has sold out for the past three years, and is taking things up a notch for 2016. There's going to be a festival village, secret mountain parties à la Glastonbury, tropical pool parties, massive park comps, and BBQs in the snow.
The current line-up includes the chart-smashing Sigma, MOBO award winning grime artist Stormzy, hip-hop royalty Grandmaster Flash, and British deep house/garage duo Blonde. With all that going on musically, plus a load of other killer acts we don't have room to mention here, it's fair to say that this year's event is going to be an absolute banger.
"Hold on Mpora. This sounds great, and everything, but what about retro onesie days, mad snowball fights, karaoke cabins, and igloo raves? I can't go to a winter music festival unless it has all of the above."
Don't worry yourself, you worrying bunch of worry-heads, Snowboxx has got you covered on everything you just asked us about (inside your own head, that is). Seriously. Everything you could ever want from a music festival in the mountains, plus everything you didn't even know you wanted from a mountain festival, will be available at Snowboxx.
With packages starting from as little as £239, it's no wonder that mountain lovers everywhere are signing up for a slice of the action.
The festival is on between the 12th and 19th of March.
