Watching This Kid Have A Meltdown On Skis Will Make Your Day
Wow. This fella really, really hates skiing...
Anybody that's learnt to ski will remember those first tentative few hours on the slopes. Whether you're from the old school of snow ploughs and parallel, or the more American pizza and french fries, there are some things we can all relate to.
Yes, there's the joy of making your first turn. The confidence that putting down your first controlled run gives you. And, of course, Nirvana-like moment when you can finally say you've got good enough to trample all over the topsheet of some hapless dude's snowboard.
However, before these rewards come misery. Pain and misery. The unnatural feeling of sliding down the slope. Fighting your instincts to arrest any speed.
Standing there forever on the edges of your skis, feet aching, as a spoilt seven year old from Windsor takes forever to point her skis down the nursery slope. And then there's the terror of the drag lift.
Your first few hours on this hill can be one plate of shit after another. The rewards are there, but you have to earn them. As such, we can empathise with the young chap in this video.
As he slowly skis down, he turns and finds the rope pull with what looks like ease. But then it all starts to go a little wrong. A couple of falls and a narrow miss by a heartless fellow lift user, and the toys come flying out of the pram.
Furiously, our mini hero unclips his one remaining ski, before hucking them down the mountain. Still not avenged, he then starts kicking furiously at the abandoned skis. Finally, the angry micro-ripper appears to try to snap one of the skis under his knee.
We don't know what became of this little dude, but we hope he eventually got back on his skis, because there's a lifetime of ski-based shenanigans ahead of him. That or Anger Management classes.
