If you love skiing and computer games, you might have been disappointed over the years by the sparseness of ski-based video games on offer. You might even have shot jealous glances over at the football fans, who get their teeth stuck into a new soccer-ball game every year, or maybe you were too busy actually skiing in real-life to care.

Whether you give one or not, we thought it'd be cool to share with you news of this free PC skiing game called Snow. It's an open world winter sports game that will give you, the players, the chance to explore a massive mountain environment and compete in various events.

The game is still being developed so it's by no means the finished article, but we think it's got great potential. The skier animations look like they need to be smoothed out a bit, but the luscious landscapes and setting seem like the sort of place we'd like to spend a lot of time in.

If you'd like to play the early access release, you can download it from the Steam store. We're genuinely a bit tempted to sack off the rest of the working day and spend our afternoon playing this but, apparently, that's not considered a "productive use of our time."
