When the winter snows melt, many a snowboarder looks for ways to keep themselves active while they wait for November, and the white stuff falling from the sky again.
Surfing, skating, and sitting in your pants eating instant noodles and watching Art of Flight 432432 times are three of the most common substitutes. However, profesional stunt chap Adrian 'Wildman'* Cenni has found a novel alternative.
He's replaced snow with clouds, and took a ride in the sky. In the name of "spreading happiness through creativity" (but also flogging some socks), Cenni was harnessed into a chopper that took him high in the sky to go and shred some cloud.
Now, we doubt there's a snowboarder alive today that hasn't looked out of the window of an aeroplane at the clouds below and allowed themselves to wonder what it'd be like to get first tracks through them.
The reality, it appears is a little dreary. Gone are powder turns, face shots and side hits, in their place a lot of flailing around and the odd awkward looking tail grab.
But we're not here to take the piss. Well, we are, but we're not going to. We feel your pain, Adrian. We really do. We want the snow back as well, but knobbing around on a rascal looking board while attached to a chopper is not an adequate substitute.
Buy a skateboard, take a bollocking off your other half for doing so, and promise yourself you'll spend your summer skating, just like we do.
