You're in a powder-covered valley surrounded by mountains on every side. The pistes are a long way from here.
You're looking down from one of the mountain peaks, staring at the powder and plotting your line. Do you take on the first cliff drop? Or go around so you can drop the next and hit the kicker beneath?
What we were describing was just a glimpse into the life of a rider on the Swatch Freeride World Tour - the snowboarders and skiiers who trick their way down some of the most terrifying mountain faces in the world.
Luckily for you, even though you may not be able to experience the dizzying heights before dropping in on the Freeride World Tour yourself, Swatch have put together the sick video above, which gives you as good as insight as you'll ever get from a two and a half minute YouTube video.
The 360 degree insight gives a behind-the-scenes look at life on the Freeride World Tour from the perspective of the 2015 world champion freeride snowboarder Estelle Balet, taking you from the journey up to the drop in, the finish line, the community atmosphere and more.
Swatch write: "Swatch and the Freeride World Tour have teamed up to develop a cutting edge virtual reality 360˚ video that practically takes you onto the competition face.
"Never before has the intensity of the competition been captured in such a way that allows the viewer to feel emotion, fear, and pressure as the anticipation builds before the instant the rider drops into the face. The experience transforms and the viewer is taken on a 360˚ journey into the essence of what makes freeride so incredibly unique: the momentous freedom of riding the greatest alpine faces in the world and shredding towards the glory of the finish line. Hear the thoughts going through the head of the world champion as she puts everything on the line for a spot on the podium.
"Join the virtual revolution on an intimate journey with the inspiring athletes and the infinite epic possibilities of the 2016 Swatch Freeride World Tour season.
"Stay tuned to experience every aspect of what makes the FWT the greatest competition in the world: check out the upcoming release of the next 360˚ video as FWT legend Jérémie Heitz takes you on journey throughout all the five legendary stops including the summit of the famous Bec des Rosses in Verbier – dropping April 10th, 2016."
