Ever wanted to sleep in a bed shaped like a coffin? Or a hotel room shaped like an anus? We thought not.
However, if you are looking to shake up your holiday a little, then why not check into one of these totally bizarre hotels?

1) The Coffin Hotel, Berlin
Ever fancied spending the night in a coffin? Now you can at the Propeller Island City Lodge in Berlin. There's even a sign perched above saying: "No sex in the coffins, please!" In case you were tempted...
2) The Dog-Shaped Hotel, USA
Yep, you really can spend the night in a hotel shaped like a beagle. The Dog Bark Park Inn was built from scratch by the owners who are chainsaw artists in Idaho, USA.
He's called Sweet Willy and he is 30ft tall, 34ft long and 14ft wide. You'll spend the night in his head.
3) The Mirrored-Cube Hotel, Sweden
This amazing mirrored cube hotel room is suspended in a tree and reached only by rope bridge.
You get a 360 degree panoramic view of your surroundings in the Treehotel, Sweden.
An ultraviolet colour - visible only to birds - is laminated on the glass to stop them colliding with the box.
4) The Underwater Hotel, Maldives
If sleeping with the fishes was on your bucket list, book a room at the Hilton Conrad Maldives Rangali Island resort - but be warned, it's not cheap.
5) The Chinese Men Hotel, China
Welcome to the Tianzi Hotel, the largest image hotel in the world, depicting the three Chinese gods - Fu, Lou and Shou. You enter the hotel through Shou's foot (left) and sleep in the peach he is holding.
6) The Crane Hotel, The Netherlands
It's not the most aesthetically pleasing of hotels, but you've gotta admit, the Crane Hotel is pretty unique.
The old staircase has been converted into a modern lift. At the top, you'll find the bedroom in the old machine room.
7) Elephant Hotel, Sri Lanka
Hidden in the wilderness along the Kumbukkan Oya River, you can sleep inside an elephant made of grass and twigs.
Visitors can feel it swaying and creaking in the wind.
8) Wine Casket Hotel, The Netherlands
Yep, we're back in the Netherlands again - this time with a hotel made out of giant wine caskets.
The Hotel de Vrouwe Van Stavoren has four 14,500 litre caskets than they've converted into two-man bedrooms. They still smell like the wine they once housed.
9) Magic Mountain Hotel, Chile
This hotel deep in the heart of the Huilo Huilo nature reserve looks like something out of a story book.
Made from wood, the Magic Mountain Lodge has a waterfall cascading down its sides and is accessed by a wooden bridge.
10) The Salt Hotel, Bolivia
Ever wanted to stay in a hotel made entirely of salt? The walls, ceilings, even furniture in the Palacio de Sal in Bolivia are constructed from sodium.
Not surprising when you consider the world famous Salar de Uyuni is just 24km away.
11) The Boot Hotel, New Zealand
"There was an old lady who lived in a shoe...." goes the old nursery rhyme. Well, now you can actually stay in a giant boot.
Tucked away in the heart of the Abel Tasman National Park, The Boot is a one-bedroom apartment has a bathroom and a comfy sofa in front of a cosy log fire.
12) The Giant Intestine Hotel, Belgium
"WTF?" is an appropriate reaction to this particular hotel. The Hotel Casanus near Antwerp in Belgium is a giant replica of an intestine, created by designer Joep van Lieshout.
Complete with a puckered anus and veins, we can safely say this hotel is the grossest we've ever seen.
13) The Capsule Hotel, Japan
The Japanese love efficiency. This capsule hotel in Kyoto is a 'nine hour hotel'.
Guest check-in and sleep in one of these super-modern minimalist pods for, well, nine hours. The hotel even offers disposable pyjamas if you forget to bring your own.
14) The Aeroplane Hotel, Costa Rica
It might look like it's crashed in the rainforest, but this Boeing 727 has been purposely converted into a hotel in Costa Rica.
