Watch: 128km/h Storm Barney Winds Force An Irish Plane To Abort Its Landing
If you didn't have a fear of flying before, you will do after seeing this.
Anyone who's ever sat through a post-christmas dinner fart-fest, will be able to testify to just how powerful wind can be. That being said, we're fairly sure that not even your sprout-filled dad after a turkey sandwich has the power to blow an aeroplane off the runway with his aromatic bum-trumpet.
This startling footage, filmed at Cork Airport on the 18th of November, shows the terrifying moment a plane was forced to abort its landing because of dangerously strong crosswinds (128km/h) caused by Storm Barney. It's a pretty scary watch so we can't imagine how the people on board must have felt. Just to put everyone's mind at ease, the plane landed successfully a few minutes later.
