Camping stoves might not sound like the most exciting piece of camping equipment – they aren’t survival knives after all – but getting your hands on one of the best stoves around can really make a difference to your trip.
Firstly, it depends where you will be taking your stove. Are you backpacking for a week and need something compact and lightweight to fit into your bag? Or are you heading out on a family holiday in a campervan?
You also need to work out whether you want a gas canister camping stove or one that runs on liquid fuel. Gas canisters are lightweight and easy to carry, while liquid fuel is non-pressurised and works better in cold temperatures and at altitude.
