Falke Long Tights Trail Running Leggings Review
An in-depth review of the Falke Long Tights Trail Running Leggings
The mountain side track is narrow, the undulating rocky terrain is challenging but flowing and the views over the snowcapped peaks are stupendous. When the trails are good, and you’re feeling good, winter trail running is a joy.
But nothing can take the joy out of it like having duff gear. Whether it’s trail running shoes which give you blisters or a backpack that rubs, bad gear can not only ruin your day, it can lead to some nasty injuries. Just as important is ensuring that you have the right apparel to run in.
“Falke is a German company that started off in the 19th century making wool products, and they’re specialists in tights and socks."
You’ll be hot and sweaty, probably for most of the run, but you’ll get very cold if or when you need to stop for a while (which let’s face it, you’re going to want to do at some stage because the views will warrant it) and getting cold in mountain environments can be dangerous.Tights in winter are a useful compromise between staying light and staying warm.
Falke is a German company that started off in the 19th century making wool products. It is now a huge company that covers fashion and sport, but they remain specialists in tights and socks.
The Long Tights, named with refreshing directness, are highly elasticated and notable for the seamless technology. They also feel great on thanks to the very comfortable polymide interior fabric and are quick to dry too.
Other features include a small key pocket at the front and a seamless zipped pocket at the back. Oh, and Falke have helpfully added an L and R to the legs, so you know which foot to put in which. Yep, they’ve thought of pretty much every detail.
