Watch: Real-Life Mario Kart In A Westfield Shopping Centre That’s Gone Viral On The Internet

The internet can't get enough of this Nintendo-inspired footage.

Show us someone who’s played Mario Kart and not enjoyed it, and we’ll show you a liar. Mario Kart, if you’re not familiar with it, is a video-game that injects the high-speed thrills of Formula One with exploding blue shells, multiple banana skins, cheeky shortcuts, Italian plumbers with facial hair, and a floating road made entirely of rainbow and magic space dust. It’s, for want of a better expression, pure gaming perfection.

This group of friends have taken their love for Mario Kart to the next level by filming themselves racing around a Westfield shopping centre, and uploading it to YouTube. Princess Peach, Bowser, Mario, Luigi, Waluigi, Yoshi, and a monkey we can only presume is supposed to be Donkey Kong; they’re all here…having the time of their lives.

Needless to say, the shopping centre’s security guards were far less impressed than we were by these mischievous antics. Here at Mpora, we particularly enjoy the bit in the video where Mario throws a banana over his shoulder and sends Yoshi spinning into a wall.

If you need us, we’ll be bidding for an N64 on eBay.
