We don't normally write about speedboats on Mpora. Sure we'll dabble with personal water crafts from time to time but, usually, on the whole we tend to stay clear of it as a subject.

This video of a man piloting his speedboat straight into a pole on a river in New Zealand is different however. It's wild. It's gnarly. It's, to misuse Stuart Kenny's favourite shark pun, jaws-dropping.

The incident happened a few months ago, but has only this week been uploaded to Facebook (where it's since gone viral). We're happy to report that Kieran Wisdom, the dude in the boat, walked away from the incident with only a small cut on the underside of his foot.
