If you’ve ever been positively-trolled by your mum on Facebook, you’ll know that mothers can be a pretty embarrassing bunch when they want to be. Whether it’s picking you up from outside school with a needlessly high-pitched “yoo-hoo,” or sitting your friends down for a slideshow picture presentation of that time you filled your toddler trousers with shepherd’s pie, mums will always find a way to embarrass you.
And so, with that in mind, please spare a thought for this fallen-comrade of embarrassing mums. The son of Marieke Voorslujis, if you’re reading this, please know that our thoughts are with you at this time.
Marieke Voorslujis from Amsterdam, you see, likes to hug her son. Now that, in and of itself, is pretty much your standard fare in the world of embarrassing mum stories. A mother’s love…yada, yada, yada, yada; a maternal connection between child and parent, we get it. However, we doubt that any of your mums have been so into hugging you that they decided to knit a life-sized version of you that they can hug whenever they please.
