A few months ago, we posted a retro-video-game-inspired travel edit. It was a great little watch that inspired us to go home, head into our dusty attics, and find our Sega Mega Drives. The travel video was, in our opinion, the perfect blend of nostalgia and wanderlust, or as we like to call it… “wanderlostalgia.”
This one, by Nikolai Schirmer, is in a similar vein to that. Filmed on the Isskard Glaicer in Norway, it features some nice skiing and some even nicer references to the computer games of yore. We particularly enjoyed the moment when Nikolai goes down on his side, and the screen gets shrouded by a Doom-style red glow.
Remember Doom? That was great.
