This Norwegian Teenager is Melting the Internet With His Ski Tricks

Øystein Bråten must watch edit... if for nothing other than the finish

We have a saying in life, and it goes like this: “whenever you see someone being towed towards a jump at the start of an edit, no matter whether skiing, mountain biking, road cycling or otherwise, and no matter whether they’re actually talented or not, it’s going to be a good watch.”

We’ll come clean. We may have just made that up right now. May. But that makes it no less – or maybe slightly less, but only slightly – of a life saying to live by.

It’s a saying that certainly holds true for the latest edit from Øystein Bråten anyway, whose name we had to copy and paste in order to get that cool ‘O’ at the start and that sweet ‘a’ with the little sign over it shortly after.

Of course, Øystein isn’t an unfamiliar athlete to us. He was the Norweigan teenager who melted the internet with a ridiculous new ski trick back in April, flipping onto a rail… and then flipping off again.

It’s the kind of thing we would only try if we were drunk skiing, and somehow even if we did try it, we don’t think we’d get the same positive results he managed to produce.

Focus, Mpora. Focus.

Okay, anyway. It’s safe to say that Øystein Bråten is no one-trick pony, and now he’s dropped this ski edit to prove it. It’s pretty much three minutes of absolute bangers, so sit back and enjoy the show:
