A relatively new addition to the Afghan sports scene, downhill skiing made its debut here in 2010. The site is well known as the resting place of 5th Century Buddha which was dynamited by the Taliban in 2001.These days however the slopes are a safe haven from war and offer a no-nonsense experience.
