A Professional Daredevil Has Just Carried Out China’s First Ever Recorded Jetpack Flight

This video is like something from a James Bond film...sort of.

Ladies and gentleman, the future is in the building! Not this building, of course. Anyone who’s come to our office knows that our lift system is as technologically advanced as an antique spoon collection.

Why am I getting hot and bothered about the future? What am I talking about? Where is this going? Why have I brought you here? These are all fair, and reasonable, questions. And so, without further ado, allow me to present to you a video of a man called Nick Macomber making the first ever documented jetpack flight in China.

“It feels like you’re riding a bicycle into the sky,” Macomber said. “It becomes a part of me. It’s like walking, you don’t think about walking anymore, you just walk. You go where you want to go. That’s how it is for me to fly,” he added.

The flight only lasts 27 seconds, but in those 27 seconds we get a magnificent glimpse into what the future has in store for us. Imagine how much more fun popping to the shop to buy bread and milk will be, when you’ve got a jetpack strapped to your back. Oooooh man, it’s going to be really, really, really great.
