All too often, surf movies fall back on an old, tried-and-tested formula that may look nice, but lacks the undeniable energy that surfing has it’s it’s very core.
Spinning At The Speed of Now, however, is made from different stuff. This high tempo surf film is an all out assault on the senses that will get you frothing for the swell.
The movie follows Brazilian pro Filipe Toledo through his travels through Panama, Costa Rica, Australia, California and Indonesia over seven months. Along the way he hangs with Damien Hobgood, Carlos Munoz, Miguel Pupo, Stevie Pittman and Victor Bernardo.
The end result is every bit as mouth watering as it sounds: a high-octane surf movie like no other around, shining a light on one of the raddest riders in the line up doing what he does when he’s not got the contest rash vest on.
