#2MinuteBeachClean | Join Environmental Activist Martin Dorey For A Live Q&A

Surdome and #2MinuteBeachClean are joining forces for an hour long Q&A

Planning on heading out for a surf now that restrictions are starting to ease? Maybe you’re just heading to the beach for some (socially distanced, of course) sunbathing? Well, there’s an initiative that’s quietly educating and encouraging the public on the importance of doing their bit to keep you any from any unwanted trash while enjoying some well-earned beach time.

This initiative, the #2MinuteBeachClean, was founded by environmentalist Martin Dorey, after he constantly found beaches littered with plastic waste, bottles and fishing gear. The 2 Minute Beach Clean has now grown to become a family of beach lovers rolling up their sleeves to help rid the world’s beaches of marine litter and plastic pollution, two minutes at a time.

“Every piece of litter removed from the beach matters”

2 Minute Beach Clean believe that “every piece of litter removed from the beach matters. So it doesn’t matter if you do 2 minutes or 30. Each and every piece of marine plastic removed from the beach is a piece that will no longer go on to kill.” Amen to that.

The team over at Surfdome have long been partners with these beach heroes, and they’re coming together with a live Q&A with Martin this evening. So, if you’ve got any questions that you’d like to throw Martin’s way, then drop a comment on the Instagram post below to make sure they’re aired during the live stream. Otherwise, we’ll see you over on the Surfdome Instagram account @ 19:00 (GMT) this evening.
