The Big Bang Theory: Here’s What Happens When You Put Things That Explode Into A Hydraulic Press

Is there anything in the world more satisfying than a hydraulic press?

Sharks, man. Not a fan. Not a fan in the slightest. We know that people are always saying things like “you’re more likely to be killed by your Aunt Margaret’s toaster than be eaten by a shark” but, quite frankly, these types of comments do little to reassure us. We’ve seen Jaws, man. We know how shit goes down.

And now, would you believe it, the Hydraulic Press Channel has uncovered an exploding shark. AN EXPLODING SHARK. Wait! Wait! Wait! Before you arm yourself to the teeth, tie your favourite tie around your forehead in the style of Rambo, and declare war against all of the animals in the ocean…you should know that the exploding shark is just a bit of silly fun (technically it’s nothing more than a CO2 cartridge wrapped in some blue Play-Doh).

The Hydraulic Press Channel, who are rapidly becoming one of our favourite YouTube channels after their shenanigans with a ten-pin bowling ball, are back with a brand spanking new video…and it’s as inexplicably entertaining and satisfying as ever.

This time the HPC are investigating what happens to explosives when you put them in a hydraulic press. If you’re concerned they’ve been putting nuclear bombs and C4 charges into the press and putting human lives at risk, fear not because it’s a hell of a lot tamer than that. Think ammunition for a cap gun and a fizzed up bottle of coke, and you’re singing from the right page.

It’s weird to say this, or weird to type it down at least, but we honestly can’t wait to see what the Hydraulic Press Channel do next. We genuinely haven’t been this excited about a weird, vaguely scientific, YouTube channel since that day we first stumbled across the red hot nickel ball phenomenon.

When people in the future ask us what 2016 was like, we’re going to look them in the eye and talk openly, and passionately, about red hot nickel balls, hydraulic presses, and bizarre watermelon videos. What a glorious time to be alive. God bless you internet.
