This Incredibly Tense Video Shows What Happens When Climbing Goes Wrong

This is the only time throwing a Strop actually helped a situation

This incredibly tense video captures the moment an american Helicopter rescue team saved the life of a stranded climber.

The chopper team, from Snohomish County in Washington State, were first alerted to the stranded hiker, who got in a jam 5000 feet above sea-level, when they got a call from the local country Sheriff.

Concerned that the “cliffed’ climber wouldn’t be able to hold on to safety on the vertical rock, the chopper crew leapt to the rescue. They spotted the man on the West side of the mountain, and saved him using, what we’re assured is called, the Strop technique.

All over the world, mountain rescue teams like these do an amazing job, saving lives every single day. However experienced you are out there, do you bit, and stay as safe as possible.
