Josh Bryceland Is Back… And This Is How He’s Gearing Up For The Season Ahead

No mere fractured or dislocated left foot can stop Ratboy defending his World Cup crown...

What a season it was for Josh “Ratboy” Bryceland in 2014. He got his first ever World Cup win in Leogang, his second in Windham, and subsequently, he picked up the overall win after the final race in Meribel in August.

He’s also probably lost a bit of sleep over the World Championships though. Ratboy was flying to victory and those much coveted rainbow stripes when he lost it on the final jump and destroyed his ankle. He finished second, but with a left foot that needed severely mended.

Seven months later, and everyone’s favourite rider is back on his bike and raring to get back into action. In his own words, “I didn’t realise I would be where I am right now so soon. My foot is in a great place, my fitness is in a great place, and [I’m] getting back some hours on the downhill bike. It’s all going well.”

Don’t just take Bryceland’s word for it either. Red Bull recently caught up with the rider to follow him around some trails, capture a bit of time on a mini bike and see how his recovery was going after that lamentable finish in Norway. Have a watch now and get stoked for the season ahead:
