Snowboarding

This Sketchy 360 Was The Best Trick at This Year’s X Games. Here’s Why…

Forget the triple corks, this was our favourite snowboarding moment

Yes, the triple corks were impressive, yes Chloe Kim’s halfpipe victory (at the tender age of 14) was record-breaking, but out of everything that happened at this weekend’s X Games, this was probably our favourite moment.

“Of everything that happened at this weekend’s X Games, this was our favourite moment.”

Snowboardcross rider Trevor Jacob decided to bust out a backside 360 off the first jump of the course (rather than pointing it straight in the approved manner) showing heroic disregard for a) his chances of winning and b) his own safety.

It didn’t even matter that he couldn’t hold onto it, the point had been made. Here was a man who clearly did not give a single fuck.

About the race, about the competition, about anything really except snowboarding for fun. And that’s rad.
