Skateboarding

You’re Going To See A Lot More Skateboards On Your Morning Commute. Here’s Why…

Watch out commuters, you'll soon catch suits on skateboards reaching speeds of 20mph

From the train, to the bus, to the tram – commuting on public transport is at the very least annoying and at the most, a bloody nuisance.

Getting to work on on a bike is a great alternative, but not everyone has a place to lock up their bike safely for the day, and after a post work pint you can find yourself leaving it on the street overnight and hoping for the best.

No fumes, no cars, no public transport!

Clever company Movpak think they have the answer to all commuting woes and have invented a combined work bag/ skateboard to take you from the streets to the boardroom.

Nifty, ey?

This isn’t any normal skateboard that you pull out of your bag however, the Movpak board contains an electric motor that runs up to 20 mph.

The backpack has enough space to carry your laptop and work kit, even when the board is tucked away and features a in built charger, so you can top up your board while on the go.

No fumes, no cars, no public transport – we think it sounds like a pretty winning idea, but would you ride a backpack board down the office?

With the amount of scooters and longboards already on the roads every morning, we think the Movpak could actually catch on.
