Lomography 2011 comp winners!

There’s simply no better way to spend the afternoon then looking through photos trying to pick out the best one. Normally when I’m doing this at home it’s all to do with which one I want to get enlarged or which one I want to put on the wall. But this time around I’m picking winners for the Lomography comp we had on Mpora a few weeks back.

We’ve had a Lomo comp up before but this time the prize was bigger and better. With £500 worth of cameras up for grabs, there were three prize pots to be won and the only downside was that I couldn’t pick myself. As fun as it sounds it’s not that easy to do. Picking out three photos from a collection that would make the Louvre look like a child’s toy is not a task that anyone would choose, but I’m going in head first.
If I was to remain impartial and Blue Peter-esque then I’d say that they were all great entries and they all deserved to win. But I won’t lie, they didn’t all deserve to win. How would I have ever made a decision otherwise?! There were some that were better than others but all the photos were pretty good so don’t be disheartened if you didn’t win. After all, it’s not the X Factor.

Cue the drum roll people, here’s the announcement:

Winners:

Winner 1 – kemar

Winner 2 – szahedi

Winner 3 – ianfroome

Those are the lucky trio that now have cameras heading their way thanks to Lomography UK. If you agree that the photos are good, that’s great. If you don’t, there’s not a whole lot you can do about it except get your camera out and keep snapping away. Fingers crossed we have the same comp next year and you’ll all be happy as pie when it comes around.

Congrats to those who won and thanks to those who entered. Winners will be contacted asap!
