Selfie sticks. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. They’re pretty annoying, right? Definitely more annoying than normal sticks, the ones you’d stumble across during a woodland walk, we’d say. Now as annoying as selfie sticks are, most of us have accepted that they’re just part of the world and nothing that we do or say is going to change that. Some people, however, hate selfie sticks so much that they’re willing to go above and beyond in a bid to rid the world of their irritating presence.

Take this guy, for example. He’s called Buddy Bolton. A YouTuber by trade, Buddy has been rampaging round New York City; cutting tourist’s selfie sticks in half with a branch cutter. At the time of writing, the video has been viewed over 650,000 times. While the video has racked up over 3,800 likes on YouTube, it’s also stirred up a lot of anger with over 15,000 viewers giving it the thumbs down.

“We were sick of Selfie Stick tourists in NYC, so we did this,” says the description on YouTube.

While, we agree that humans with selfie sticks are an annoying obstacle when you’re trying to manouvere yourself around crowded cities we’d like to counter that argument here with the fact that destroying people’s personal property is never something we can really get on board with. Not cool, Buddy. Leave people’s stuff alone (even if their stuff does piss you, and lots of other people off).
