Disturbing Footage Appears To Shows Man Pushing Female Cyclist into Oncoming Traffic

Police release footage in bid to find featured London man...

For one reason or another, there seems to be a percentage of the general public in Great Britain who have a serious problem with cyclists.

Sometimes this leads to confrontations; needless arguments over non-issues where cyclists are called up for riding on roads they are well within their right to be on, and occasionally, it even leads to violence.

The feature below is the latest in a string of anti-cycling videos to surface in the past few months, and quite frankly even just watching the 20 second capture makes us feel a little bit sick.

The footage, captured via helmet camera, shows a 40-something woman cycling along Sidney Street in Whitechapel, east London, asking a man crossing the road in the middle of traffic: “please don’t try and knock me off.”

The man then proceeds to chase her down the street, shouting, before being captured on camera yelling “you want to put your finger up at me, you mug? Come on!” and appearing to shove her off her bicycle, straight into the path of oncoming traffic.

It is unclear whether or not the distressed cyclist did indeed curse at the man in question, but either way it is simply outrageous that this kind of thing can happen to any cyclist or person under any circumstance. It could’ve easily led to serious injury or even death.

The woman in question did not need medical treatment, and has contacted the police about the incident, which occurred a few months ago on 1 May.

The Met has now released the video in a bid to help find the man, and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting images 180410 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
