When it comes to big bags, big bags that you can sleep in, it’s fair to say the humble sleeping bag has that market well and truly cornered. It’s an established aspect of any camping trip, a piece of kit that does exactly what it says on the tin.

Looking at it, as a sleeping bag connoisseur, you’d have to say that it’s reached a point in it’s evolution where it doesn’t need to do anything else. It’s top of the game (top of the bag-that-you-can-sleep-in game).

Or, is it?

Sometimes, ever so often, an invention comes along that makes you reassess certain aspects of the world in which you live. Like that moment in Christopher Nolan’s Inception, where the boundaries of reality come shattering down around Ellen Page, this morning we were confronted with a concept so ridiculous that it resulted in the Mpora team pinching their own faces until they really hurt.

Introducing, the SLPY. It’s a sleeping bag, that you can wear all day. Yes, no need to go over that sentence again, you read it correctly the first time. As a human race, we really have reached the stage in our lazy, ambling, devolution towards total congealment where we can’t even be bothered to take off our beds.

The SLPY motto is “sleep, wear, explore.” Not only that, but the website also claims this product to be the “original sleepy.” Worryingly, that claim suggests there’s more than one of these monstrosities knocking around. If you’re thinking of getting a SLPY; in exchange for £119, you too can look like an absolute tit on your next camping trip.
