Whistler Blackcomb is the largest ski resort in North America, with over 8000 acres. The highest elevation is located at Blackcomb and is 2,240 metres. The resort also has the largest lift-serviced vertical ski area in North America. There are two high-speed gondolas, 14 high-speed quad lifts, five triple chair lifts, four T bar tows and five magic carpets. The resort has nearly 200 marked trails, which range from beginner to advanced. Whistler Blackcomb has a huge diversity of runs, which include a vast beginner’s area for skiers and snowboarders. Whistler Blackcomb offers one of the most respected and professional ski schools in the world. Instructors are available to skiers and snowboarders of all levels. Additionally, these instructors speak a wide range of languages, allowing for lessons to be available for nearly any guest.

In addition to beginner ski areas and lessons, the resort hosts many more advance options. Whistler Blackcomb is famous for its near limitless couloirs, steep chutes and alpine bowls. The more adventurous visitors can decide to go off into the backcountry to ski. In addition to the runs, Whistler Blackcomb boasts multiple amazing terrain parks that are accessible for skiers and snowboarders. Whistler has one terrain park, Habitat Terrain Park. Blackcomb has several terrain parks that vary in difficulty and activities. Some of these terrain parks are also opened during the summer months for mountain biking.
