How Close Should You Stand To A Wild Animal To Take A Photograph? Not As Close As This Woman Does To This Wild Elk

She's going to have one Elk of a headache in the morning

“You can take the Elk off the streets,” as William Shakespeare famously once wrote, “but you can’t take the streets out of the Elk.”

It appears that the lady in this video hadn’t head the fictional words of The Bard when she decided she’d potter up to get a photo of a Yellowstone Elk in it’s natural environment. It doesn’t take long for the wild animal to get all Francis Begbie on her, and head-but her into a different postcode.

We’re happy to report, that neither the Elk or the woman, appearing in her blue Bargain Hunt fleece, were harmed in this video.  A special mention, however, must go to the guy off camera who, after the incident, helpfully shouts “I was just going to tell you, you were too close to that Elk. And that’s why!”. Heroic.
