Last weekend saw the Enduro World Series arrive on British shores for the very first time – and man was it one to watch!

Discussions were already underway on Friday as to whether the trails were too tricky. Either way, it certainly shook the men’s rankings up with some surprises rising to the top ten positions – and an epic performance from British and Irish riders on home turf.

Tracy Moseley held her own this weekend by dominating first position through 7 out of the 8 stages. Anne-Marie Chausson was snapping at her heels, but it wasn’t enough to beat the current reigning champ.

British female riders were well represented with 10 of the top 25 women were from UK and Ireland. Let’s hope to see more of Blighty represented in the international events as well!

Mix Up In The Men’s Rankings

Meanwhile in the men’s, there was a real mix-up in the leaderboards. It seems the steep technical tracks were enough to throw some non-UK riders off-course.

It was French rider Nico Lau held solid for the whole weekend, eventually claiming a well deserved first place, followed behind by Kiwi Justin Leov.

Jared Graves was pipped as the favourite by many, but he suffered two bad crashes in the first stage of day one which set the Aussie back to 30th place. Come end of Sunday’s stages, he’d clawed his way back up to third place in the final stage, finishing 9th overall.

But it seems local knowledge stood the British riders in good stead, particularly Joe Barnes who claimed an amazing third place. The Fort William lad was clearly stoked to have a place on the podium – his best world series ranking to date!

Dirt have also put up their highlights from the weekend, so you can check out what went down on Day One here…

… and Day Two here!

With the big reshuffle this weekend, it’ll be exciting to see what goes down at the third round in Valloire in a couple of weeks!

In the meantime, we’ve got another weekend of downhill action with the Downhill World Cup taking place in Fort William next weekend, so get pumped for more Scottish action in the coming days.
