Jeremy Vine. A man of the media. A man who does things on television and radio. A man who literally once asked Ed Blomfield, Editor of White Lines, during a live-on-air interview whether it’s possible to snowboard uphill. Vine’s a presenter, a broadcaster and a journalist; best known for fronting the crime-solving TV programme Crimewatch, hosting a debate show on Radio 2, and yes that’s right – asking the Editor of popular snowboarding magazine White Lines whether it’s possible to snowboard up a hill. Oh, Jeremy. Will you ever live that one down?
But Mr Vine, a man still getting to grips with the correlation between snowboarding and gravity, is also a mad keen cyclist. Jeremy likes to pedal. Pedal here, pedal there, pedal everywhere. Show him a bicycle, and he’ll be on the saddle and riding down the road on it before you can say “Hey Jeremy. Do you like my new bike?” Don’t, of course, ever show him a snowboard and/or a hill without first explaining who Isaac Newton is. But enough about that…for now.
