Here’s a visual breakdown of the top times from the Leogang Downhill Mountain Bike World Cup last weekend.
What’s really noticeable here is the difference in how close the men’s and the women’s races were:
In the men’s event, under two seconds separated Josh Bryceland in first and George Brannigan and as the graphic shows, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places were insanely close, with just fractions of a second separating them.
What’s even more insane is that Aaron Gwin, riding with no back tyre, was less than 40 seconds behind the leader.
In the women’s event things were a bit more evenly-spaced among the front 5. In fact, there was more space between Manon Carpenter in first and Rachel Atherton in second than between the top five guys!
