Watch Mountain Biker Fabio Wibmer Ride a Dam Railing Above a Terrifying 200m Vertical Drop

Even just watching this gives us serious vertigo...

Fabio Wibmer has no fear on the bicycle – as he’s just proven by riding along a railing a terrifying 200m high above the Koelnbreinsperre dam in Austria

We’ve previously brought you videos of Fabio taking on a toboggan run on a mountain bike and even a trials edit in which he at one point jumps from one bike to another and then carries on riding. But this is seriously next level.

Fabio has been a regular on Danny MacAskill’s drop and roll tour – a touring trials show – over the past couple of years, so while his raw talent is obviously clear, maybe he’s been getting some tips from Danny as well!

Still, we’re not even sure Danny would attempt this madness. You’d have to be super confident and super crazy – though MacAskill did of course once ride an 174ft crane so what do we know…

The video actually makes for a pretty tense watch. The front wheel rolls solidly throughout but Fabio is moving about on the bike to keep his balance and from the POV angle it’s hard to tell whether he comes close to losing it at any point.

Either way, he sounds damn – get it? – happy when he reaches the end of the run. As you can imagine you would be.

The video reminds of Vittorio Brumotti’s antics on the road bike. Vittorio is a 10-time world record holder and once rode on a railing over a 20m cliff-drop, which is still ridiculously high for such stunts.

Still… Safe to say that Fabio wins. Check out the video below:

Here’s some more Fabio to keep you happy!
