The first ever all-female Red Bull Foxhunt hit Edinburgh last weekend, and saw more than 100 riders try to beat Rachel Atherton down the Pentland Hills.
The turnout meant the event was the biggest women’s-only MTB event of all time, an encouraging sign for the grass-roots of the sport on the back of a season of unprecedented success for British professionals.
