This sketchy looking cliff jump almost turned very nasty. The dude in the footage leapt from the rocks on the shore at Cape Kiwanda in Oregon,on the West coast of the US.
After the jump, where he cleared the rocks, the diver was initially dragged metres out to sea by the strong coastal swell. After battling back to the rocks, he was visibly exhausted, but his problems didn’t end there.
The tide continued to batter him onto the rocks, dragging his body over sharp, punishing stones.
Happily, after over a minute of struggle, the guy in the footage managed to make it back onto the rocks, and away from the punishing waves. While we’re happy to say that the chap survived, we can’t help but agree with the fella behind the camera who said “this is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen.”.
