Val di Sole is one of the most fearsome race tracks on the downhill mountain bike circuit, and the footage just uploaded to YouTube by Aussie Specialized rider Troy Brosnan shows exactly that.
The 22-year-old was unlucky not to win when the World Cup hit the course in Italy late last August, qualifying at the top of the pack before finishing third in finals, with teammate Aaron Gwin cleaning up for the win and French ripper Loic Bruni coming in behind him.
Troy was actually up at the first split that day, coming down the mountain last, when his handlebars hit a tree, breaking his finger and setting him back a couple of seconds. The fact that he rode down that track with a broken bone and still managed to make the podium says a lot about his character.
