Slide around in green goo? Woop! We are all over this race.
Oh, it’s for kids you say? Goddamnit.
Notorious obstacle-masters Tough Mudder have announced they’re bringing new, kid-sized versions of their infamous events to the UK – and they’re chocka with full gunge and muck and other glorious things.
Specifically designed for children aged 7-12, the Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder will run alongside the adult Tough Mudder and Mudderella events, and it looks pretty brilliant.
Pint-sized adventurers get to tackle The Tunnel Of Terror, Gooey Shoes and Mount Mud
Unlike the grown-up version, there’s no electrocution, tear gas or dunking your head into vats of ice (probably for the best, eh). Instead, pint-sized adventurers get to tackle obstacles with names such as The Tunnel Of Terror, Gooey Shoes and Mount Mud.
All the obstacles were designed by the reigning world champs of mud-caked mayhem, kids themselves.
The kids tough mudder has ten anarchic obstacles for explorers to tackle along the mile-long, un-timed course, and just like the adults they’ll receive a Mini Mudder headband at the end. No finisher’s pint for the young’ns though – they have to make do with a Robinsons’ Fruit Shoot instead.
The first Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder takes place in Henley near Oxfordshire on 2 May. Entry is £10. For more details visit the official Tough Mudder site
