This Guy Got Michael Phelps’ Game Face Tattooed On Him – And The Olympic Legend Got In Touch

Someone loves the swimmer's death stare so much they got it inked on them forever

Since Michael Phelps was filmed staring down South African rival Chad le Clos before their 200m butterfly semi-final, his killer game face has become pretty infamous.

It was caught on film at this year’s Olympics, and instantly people went crazy for it, turning him into gifs and memes all over the internet.

One super fan has gone one step further however, tattooing Phelps’ stink eye on his calf forever.

It turns out that the impressive tattoo was created by talented artist Livia Tsang.

“He’s first and foremost a big Phelps fan, but also because of his work ethic and perseverance,” she explained to TIME, when asked about the tattoo’s owner.

“The most golds and medals ever achieved, along with 39 world records set”

“When we chose the image, we had a bit of a laugh about it, but he told me that he wanted it because it showed his moment of focus before the race.”

It seems that the tattoo has now reached Phelps himself as he recently posted this live video on Facebook, to thank her for it:

The decorated Olympian walks away from Rio with the most golds and  most medals ever achieved, along with 39 world records set.

We’re sure that the tattoo owner is pretty stoked on seeing his idol so happy with the design before he retired!
