Rare Footage Emerges Showing A School of Sharks Attacking A Whale Carcass

It's like a terrifying version of Hungry Hippos

Incredible drone footage has emerged of a school of sharks during a feeding frenzy, when they found the carcass of a dead whale in the sea.

The footage was shot just off Cape Cuvier in Western Australia, by rather and son Grant and Sam Eastland. In fact, Sam got a bit excited at one point and ran into the sea to see if he could drag one of the sharks out.

We’ve sat here for a solid 15 minutes wondering what he would possibly do had he pulled one out. Answers on a postcard…

The mob of sharks (“mob” sounds much better than “school”, doesn’t it). The mob of sharks soon make light work of what is originally a massive bit of whale flesh, floating on the surface of the water, and looking a bit like what you hope is egg in your Chinese takeaway.
