Meet Lars Anderson, the Danish archer who catches arrows in mid air and fires them back at the guy who fired them back at the person that shot at him. It’s like The Matrix meets Robin Hood (meets a slightly terrifying guy knobbing about various gyms).
Lars’ tidy arrow skills came about when he started studying historic archery, and realised that modern archery is – long story short – slow and shit. He wants to take a leaf out of the archers of the past and learn to shoot arrows as quickly as possible.
And how does he hone these abilities? By catching arrows fired at him by his mate, and firing them right back at him. As if that’s not enough, he gets all Luke Skywalker and actually fires arrows out of the air that are fired at him. You remember the archery bit in Star Wars, right?
While archery might not seem like the most extreme sport in the world, catching arrows is gnarlier than BASE Jumping with a premenstrual honey badger where your parachute should be.
Needless to say, if you happen to have a bow, numerous arrows, and a large gym in your house, don’t try this at home.
