Vegas, baby! For many, the big bookies in the desert is the ultimate holiday destination. The bright lights, the casinos, the parties, the numerous mobsters buried nearby in shallow graves… It’s vacation Nirvana.

Joseph P. Griffin thought so, and when he booked a trip of a lifetime to Vegas with his wife, he was eager to document the entire thing. Joseph’s son, Evan, dully obliged, and lent his old man his GoPro and a selfie stick.

However, what Evan forgot was to tell dad how to actually use it.

Cue Griffin snr shooting his Vegas video with the camera pointing the wrong way around.

The result is an entire holidays worth of footage where the only thing in shot is Joseph himself. A Particular highlight is when the lady briefly in shot, who we assume is Mrs Griffin, suggests “This is where Oceans 11 was filmed”.

However, it’s hard to confirm whether it was the famous Bellagio hotel or not, because all you can see is Pappa Griffin his his splendid Sergio Tacchini t-shirt.

It wasn’t until the Griffin’s got back home, and gave their son his GoPro back to view the footage did anybody know that the entire trip had been spent shooting the ultimate selfie video.

While a lot of people would have written the video off as a failure, Evan spotted that it was absolute internet gold, and put it online as soon as he possibly could.

Uploaded to YouTube on 13th November, this belter has racked up almost 1.5 million views in just three days. Furthermore, the good folks at GoPro have been in touch with Evan and his dad, offering him a whole bunch of extra GoPro accessories to help soften the blow a little.
