Deep beneath the ground in Louisville, Kentucky, miners toiled for years digging out Limestone for use in buildings across the state and around the world.
But when the mine was sold in 1989, no-one knew what to do with the massive empty cavern. A number of companies tried to set up businesses in it (one scheme was to make it a “super high security business park”) but none of them really succeeded… until recently.
It shows the sheer scale of the place in all its glittering, strip-lit glory.
We first reported on the Louisville “Mega-Cavern” bike park back in September, but with it recently opening to the public, the edits are now coming thick and fast.
