When Vasu Sojitra was nine months old he was diagnosed with a blood infection that required the amputation of his right leg.
The inspirational athlete battled through adversity to teach himself to ski in the fifth grade, growing in confidence and progressing to the level where he’s now better than most!
“Everyone has their obstacles, and having one leg isn’t a big issue,” he says. “It’s a hurdle in life that is there to be overcome.” That should give you just a little bit of an insight into the way Vasu’s mind works.
The film comes from Columbia Sportswear and documents Vasu’s recent trip into the backcountry, where he pushes his limits and continues to inspire. Have a watch and you’ll be stoked to get back on the snow!
